Open Door is a day centre that meets on a Wednesday in the Church building.
Annick Smith says: "We aim to help older people by providing care and attention to meet their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
We believe that it is also providing a means to help prevent loneliness in our older people, which is so prevalent today.
We help our people maintain their self-confidence and esteem, as well as a sense of worth."
Annick Smith, Leader
We meet every Wednesday from 10:30am to 2:00pm in the Church, which has modern facilities including all-level access and toilets for the disabled.
We treat all our clients to regular tea, coffee and biscuits, as well as a homemade 3 course lunch.
It costs very little to join and attend Open Door, mostly the cost of your food.
The Staff are very friendly and supportive, and sometimes help in the activities and entertainment.
Its Easy to Join!
Just ring the Church on 01686 627693 and we will arrange for you to come to the next session.
If you want we will even arrange transport to pick you up and take you home

You don't need to be fit and healthy to come along!
As everyone gets older, they seem to have something going on, so you won't be the odd one out. But if there are any major issues you can talk to us about this.
For more information about Open Door, please ring the church and ask to speak to
Annick Smith, who will be pleased to help you out.
